> There is no blood – because neither the articular cartilage on the ends of the thigh and shinbone nor the meniscus have their own blood supply.
> You will see the off-white cartilage and meniscus and, in the arthritic knee, some of the exposed bone below.
> You won’t see any part of an active operation.
