Lecturer: Keiko H. Kuykendall, DNP
Keiko from INOVA Neurosurgery, in Falls Church, VA discusses the management of stroke alert at ER triage and the clinical challenge of differentiating stroke "mimics" from "chameleons". Stroke "mimics" are conditions that present as stroke, but the patients are found to be negative. Whereas, "chameleons" are conditions that do not appear as stroke, but the work up is positive.
