Despite efforts to standardize definitions of cardiogenic shock (CS) and develop shock teams, the early recognition, timely intervention, and appropriate management of these patients remain challenging. Subsequently, there is a growing interest in developing standardized multihospital systems-of-care networks to manage CS.
