The repair is meant to restore the attachment of the superior rotator cuff muscles to the humerus and reduce the proximal subluxation of the humeral head thus improving shoulder function and decreasing pain. The goal is to avoid unnecessary Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty when it is not needed.
