The School aims to outline the present and future state of the art of Acute Leukemia. From the interaction between the international leading experts "BIG FACULTY" and the young researchers under 40 "YOUNG FACULTY", we would like to define a real "cantera" in order to create and share new projects for patients.

The last 4–5 years have ushered ina new era in acute leukemia therapy, with the advent and approval of multiple targeted therapies. Additionally, an improved understanding of the immune system in patients with hematologic malignancies has resulted in major progress in the development of immune therapies for the treatment, including monoclonal antibodies with or without conjugated toxins (bacterial or chemical), bispecific T-cell engagers and DART antibodies, immune-checkpoint-based therapies, and CAR-T cell approaches.

The meeting is chaired by G. Martinelli, C. Cerchione (IRST MELDOLA, ITALY),  F. Locatelli (Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù ROMA) H. Kantarian, M. Konopleva,  E. Jabbour, N. Daver, F. Ravandi (MDACC Houston), A. De La Fuente (MDACC Madrid), J.M. Ribera (Institut Català d'Oncologia, BADALONA Spain).
