Advancing Knowledge in Multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Care is intended to provide a diverse and comprehensive overview of the rapidly evolving field of lung cancer. Faculty members form different specialties will provide the latest recommendations and best practices based on newly emerging data and trials. Keck faculty will provide specific insights into the most current management of ground glass opacities as well as how to maintain best practices within the context of international guidelines for lung cancer care.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the role of a multidisciplinary team in the management of lung cancer patients undergoing different modalities of therapy.
- Review different approaches to diagnose, stage and manage lung cancer patients.
- Discuss the non-systemic therapies for advanced lung cancers.
- Identify patients who should be referred for complex lung cancer treatment.
- Compare different surgical options for lung cancer.
- Explain advances in systemic therapy for lung cancer including immunotherapy, targeted therapies and other forms of therapy.
