DESCRIPTION
View the AGENDA!
The 26th Annual San Diego Heart Failure Symposium, which will be held virtually, continues in the tradition of our past programs in providing registrants an update on the latest and most exciting advances in the management of heart failure through a series of didactic lectures. Topics that will be covered extend from preventing heart failure by managing risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia to treating heart failure throughout all its stages. Key areas that will be covered include management of sleep-disordered breathing, use of biomarkers, treatment of pulmonary artery hypertension, new uses of DOACs, and prevention of sudden death. We will provide an overview of the drugs used to treat heart failure and in the annual debate tackle the issue of how do we integrate all of these agents into the therapeutic regimen. The Symposium also covers the use of percutaneous mechanical circulatory support, percutaneous treatment of valve lesions, use of remote monitoring, management of patients with advanced heart failure using LVADs and heart transplantation, as well as exciting new approaches for treating amyloid cardiomyopathy. New drugs for the treatment of heart failure will be discussed.
